Boundary Disputes
Easton Bevins construction reports

Neighbours can live peacefully for years and then fall out over several inches of land.  Is this advisable?  Is it necessary?  How should it be resolved?

Chris Easton and Chris McWalter are members of the RICS free advice service, giving initial advice to clients who may be in dispute in connection with their boundary?

The dispute may then involve a party wall matter, in which case Chris McWalter will take over and implement the appropriate protection afforded by the Party Wall etc 1996 Act.

If the dispute is over ownership, rights of way or the location, Chris Easton will provide initial advice or a CPR Part 35 Expert Witness Report based upon research, knowledge, investigation, contractual documentation, experience, etc.

Disputes over boundaries can be expensive.  The essence of a good Expert is to produce the evidence or strength of balanced opinion, to resolve the dispute as swiftly as possible, certainly prior to a Court hearing, and hopefully prior to, or during mediation.

In the event that mediation and negotiations are unsuccessful Chris Easton, Chris McWalter and other senior members of his team will be happy to attend the trial and provide the appropriate Expert opinion in the witness box.

Please see Chris Easton’s resume for current and past cases.
