In that time we have built up an enviable reputation as leading practitioners in all aspects of Building Surveying. We have a varied client base ranging from private individuals to residential management companies, charitable bodies, solicitors, commercial landlords to corporate and public sector organisations. They instruct us on matters ranging from minor domestic building defects, through residential surveys, commercial surveys and dilapidations, to domestic and commercial new build projects and refurbishments. We are routinely instructed on commercial and residential landlord and tenant matters and commonly undertake project management, insurance valuations and topographic surveys. Our senior staff have a wealth of public and private sector experience and can offer comprehensive advice to private and corporate clients negotiating statutory consents with Local Authorities and Government agencies on subjects as varied as Planning and Building Regulations, housing legislation, fire safety, workplace legislation and CDM regulations. Much of our workload has developed from commissions originally received by our Litigation Department, now located in both Bristol and Cheltenham, which is well known both locally and regionally for its prodigious case history of expert witness work and an unparalleled knowledge of party wall matters. We receive instructions from all over the southwest of England and beyond and notwithstanding the expansion from our Bristol core with the opening of other regional offices, our Surveyors travel extensively to service projects over a wide geographic area when their specialist knowledge is required.
