Contract Administration is a role that is vitally important on any project to be carried out where there is a contract in place between a contractor and a customer.
It is the Contract Administrator’s role to ensure that all parts of the contract are adhered to by both parties. To carry out management of the contract ensuring that any changes to the brief etc, are controlled and managed under the rules laid down.
Carrying out the authorisation of payments by assessing the amount of work carried out on site to ensure that it matches the works carried out and reporting to both parties regarding the project being completed to programme and to budget.
It is not the Contract Administrator’s role to act as Clerk of Works or to manage the contractor on site.
Easton Bevins have vast experience in acting as Contract Administrators both in projects where we have been involved in the design and are regularly asked to act even if we have had no previous involvement in the project.
