Bat's the way to do it!

We have recently obtained Planning Consent and Listed Building Consent from a local District Council for the owners of a Grade II Listed former woollen mill to convert it to a single dwelling.

Issues addressed in the application included the restoration of missing dormer windows characteristic of such mills and the use of parts of the building by bats.

Working closely with an ecological consultant, we designed a new bat entry to create a permanent alternative access route as part of a strategy to mitigate any adverse consequences to a protected species.

We and our clients look forward to working with the Council to bring the scheme to fruition.
