We are passionate and highly experienced in the creation of buildings from scratch and we have worked with both private individuals looking to create a bespoke dwelling and property developers on small residential developments.

Renovations

Renovating an existing building extends its life-span, giving it new purpose and increasing its value. If you are interested in renovating a building we can help; re-using existing construction materials is also recognised as a more sustainable alternative to knocking down and replacing an old bulding.

Change of use

Extensions

We have worked with many private individuals looking to extend and adapt their home to accommodate their changing needs. When well planned and executed, an extension can enhance the appearance of a building and increase its value. 

From developing the initial architects drawings to signing off the completed works we provide a highly professional, personal service to ensure quality of works and manage timings and budgets. With seven offices located throughout the South West, London, West Midlands and South Wales, our spread of experience and knowledge provides a cost-effective local service.

Lease plans

Lease plans are required in any new lease to confirm exactly what land or parts of a building are being passed over to a tenant. It’s essential that this is recorded properly and in line with the wording of the lease; we regularly assist our clients with producing lease plans and can ensure that the process is undertaken smoothly and quickly.

Additional Services

Additional services may be required to take your project to final completion. We offer a range of services that can be tailored to meet your individual requirements. 

Fire risk assessment

Fire Risk Assessments are required by law for blocks of flats and business premises. The process consists of a review of the building to assess its fire risk, with recommendations made to improve fire safety in the building.

A new assessment must be carried out every 5 years with a regularly yearly review, to ensure any changes to the building are taken into account. Easton Bevins have over thirty years’ experience in fire safety matters, and are well placed to advise clients on their duties under the legislation. 

Health & safety assessment

Construction is one of the most dangerous industries to work in, and it is vital to have rigorous health and safety processes in place to mitigate risk during the construction phase.

The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 ('CDM2015') are the main set of regulations governing construction in the UK, and include the health and safety assessment which considers all health and safety risks that could occur during the construction.

Reinstatement cost assessment

It is essential to ensure that your building’s insurance will cover you in the event of a total loss. A Reinstatement Cost Assessment (RCA) will provide you with an accurate calculation of the costs involved to rebuild your property, with allowances made for location, inflation and any significant alterations.

RCAs are often a requirement for some insurance companies; if you require an assessment either as a requirement or for piece of mind, Easton Bevins are highly experienced in providing RCAs for new and existing clients.

CDM

The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 ('CDM 2015') are the main set of regulations governing construction health and safety in the UK. These apply to all construction projects large or small. As a client (as defined by the legislation) you have certain duties to fulfil under these regulations.
