In Brief:
Following the release of the government’s consolidated advice note in 2020, Easton Bevins was instructed to carry out an initial façade survey, along with intrusive investigations for Birmingham’s tallest residential tower block and provide an EWS1.
The investigatory works at the tower block showed combustible cladding and insulation and Easton Bevins was duly employed to secure funding and oversee the replacement of the external wall system, providing Design, Contract Administration, Project Management and Quantity Surveying services.
Easton Bevins managed the project throughout including; the tender process, completion of pre-contract services, appointment of principal contractor and full project management throughout the construction period as well as the defect period.
Our team of project managers, building surveyors and quantity surveyors oversaw efficient contract delivery for the client, ensuring works were delivered on time and on budget. We also successfully obtained an A1 EWS1 for the leaseholders.
