We are delighted to announce that three members of the Easton Bevins team have successfully achieved Chartered Building Surveyor status in the same assessment period. This is an exceptional achievement that reflects both their individual dedication and our continued commitment to professional development. Massive congratulations to Harvey Cross and Giles Fisher from the Easton Bevins Manchester office and William Jones from the Easton Bevins Bristol office.

Becoming a Chartered Building Surveyor is one of the most significant milestones within the property and construction profession. The qualification demonstrates a surveyor’s technical expertise, professional competence, ethical standards and commitment to delivering the highest levels of service to clients. Achieving chartership requires years of practical experience, rigorous preparation and the successful completion of a demanding professional assessment process.

Having three colleagues achieve chartership in a single assessment period is particularly rare and represents a remarkable accomplishment for both the individuals involved and the wider business.

“At Easton Bevins, we believe that investing in our people is fundamental to providing the highest quality advice and service. The success of our newly chartered building surveyors reinforces the depth of expertise within our team and demonstrates our commitment to maintaining the highest professional standards across every project we undertake.” – Ben O’Brien, Chief Executive, Easton Bevins.

Achieving chartership is typically a two-year journey that requires candidates to demonstrate competence across a broad range of professional and technical areas. Throughout this period, Easton Bevins was committed to providing structured support, mentoring and practical experience across as many surveying disciplines as possible. This enables candidates to develop a well-rounded understanding of the profession, gain exposure to diverse projects and clients, and build the breadth of knowledge required to become a Chartered Building Surveyor. The success of our three colleagues is therefore a reflection not only of their hard work and dedication, but also of the collaborative approach we take to professional development across the business.

For our clients, this achievement provides further assurance that they are working with highly qualified professionals who are committed to excellence, integrity and continuous professional development. Chartered status is recognised throughout the industry as a mark of quality, professionalism and trusted expertise.

Harvey Cross commented “I am delighted to have successfully qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor alongside my colleagues, Giles and Will. It has been a challenging but rewarding journey, and I am grateful for the support provided by the team at Easton Bevins, particularly through the APC revision sessions and mock interviews. I look forward to supporting our clients moving forward.”

New Chartered Building Surveyor, William Jones, said: “Achieving MRICS status is a milestone I am extremely proud of, representing the culmination of several years of hard work and dedication. It opens the door to more complex and rewarding professional instructions and marks an important step in my career. I would like to thank Easton Bevins for their invaluable support throughout the process; the quality and variety of work I have been exposed to here was instrumental in reaching this point.”

The third surveyor, Giles Fisher said “I am absolutely delighted to have gained Chartered status. It means a lot to me and shows my dedication to the profession and gives me confidence going forward in my career. Having moved company midway through my chartership journey, Easton Bevins made it really easy and were very helpful in providing me with guidance, mock interviews, Q and A’s and much needed support.”

Most importantly, we are incredibly proud of the hard work, determination and commitment shown by all three colleagues throughout their chartership journey. Reaching this milestone is no small achievement, and everyone should be congratulated on their success.

Please join us in congratulating our three newly chartered surveyors on this outstanding accomplishment.
