Roof inspection survey with drone - Case Study

Project:

Complete roof condition survey by use of a drone inspection

Location:

Pippits Court, Severn Beach

In Brief:

Drones are extremely useful for carrying out aerial property surveys, providing critical information relating to a building’s condition. They are particularly helpful for carrying out roof inspections, especially when there is poor access.

We used a drone to carry out a comprehensive roof condition survey at Pippits Court, a block of residential flats located in the Severn Beach area. Our block management department instructed surveyors to undertake the roof inspection following a period of water ingress and ongoing roof leaks.

Detailed images captured by the drone allowed our surveyors to closely inspect the condition of the roof and identify a number of defects, including patch repairs to the lead flat roof section on one of the blocks. This enabled them to compile a report and recommend appropriate repair solutions, including options for remedial repairs.

Our surveyors work closely with our block managers to quickly respond to problems that may arise and offer appropriate cost-effective solutions.
