Fire risk assessment
Fire risk assessments are required by law for blocks of flats and business premises. The process consists of a review of the building to assess its fire risk, with recommendations made to improve fire safety in the building.
A new assessment must be carried out every 5 years with a regular yearly review, to ensure any changes to the building are taken into account. Easton Bevins have over thirty years’ experience in fire safety matters, and are well placed to advise clients on their duties under the legislation.

Health & safety (CDM)
Construction is one of the most dangerous industries to work in, and it is vital to have rigorous health and safety processes in place to mitigate risk during the construction phase.
The Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) are the main set of regulations governing construction health and safety in the UK. These apply to all construction projects large or small. As a client (as defined by the legislation) you have certain duties to fulfil under these regulations.
Easton Bevins can assist you in understanding your duties, and can either assist you or act on your behalf throughout the process.
Reinstatement cost assessment
It is essential to ensure that your building’s insurance will cover you in the event of a total loss. A Reinstatement Cost Assessment (RCA) will provide you with an accurate calculation of the costs involved to rebuild your property, with allowances made for location, inflation and any significant alterations.
RCAs are often a requirement for some insurance companies; if you require an assessment either as a requirement or for piece of mind, Easton Bevins are highly experienced in providing RCAs for new and existing clients.
