Loft Conversion to the rear of house in Barton Hill - Case Study

Project:

Loft conversion on a private residential dwelling

Location:

Barton Hill, Bristol

In Brief:

Easton Bevins was asked to design a loft conversion for a Victorian terraced property in Barton Hill, Bristol.

We proposed an L shaped dormer conversion, which comprises two dormers, one built over the main part of the roof, the other built over the rear part of the roof (thus creating the distinctive L-shape).

We were involved in the project from initial inception through to final completion. Our work included, measuring the space, creating the designs, and preparing and submitting the required applications to achieve planning and Building Regulation permissions.

The end result was a good sized extension comprising a light and airy bedroom with an ensuite shower room, and an office. Our careful designs ensured that there was no loss of space to the first floor of the house where the new staircase was installed.

Our client was delighted with the work and is now enjoying the much needed additional space.
